On the last day of our trip to Malta John, Nick and I decided to hire a car so that we could explore more of Gozo. With Jon's son Alex we went in search of any form of transport that we could find !
£23 for the day from Victoria Car & Van Rental Qwara.

Loaded on the car deck of the Gozo Lines MV Valletta.
Coming down to the harbour is the route 25 from Vivctoria.
Modern roads now leave the harbour at Mgarr. At the top is an ideal spot to photograph all the tour buses.

Lunch at QBajjar and a fine fried rabbit !
Marsalforn and a route 21 service bus.
The end of the road near Il Pergla with a footpath to Calypso's Cave.

Leaving the Gozitan coaches at Mgarr the two lounges soon overflow.

Back on the main island Malta we decided the road to Manikata and then along the Wardija Ridge, finally arriving at Bur Marrad.

Gozo 2008 The independent trip
About me
Retired and still active in a couple of hobbies that have kept me going for 55 years ! Photography, particularly buses and coaches kept me occupied as the main interest. It lasted until 2004 when my wife died and I decided to spend the family "silver". That led me into actually preserving buses and the fleet currently stands at 12 !
